I got a Lacie 10 TB 5 Big Thunderbolt raid array. Using Compressor, Final Cut or even MPeg Streamclip makes it work but it is still very very fast. The hottest it has ever gotten (150 F) is when transcoding. I am so glad that I didn't get any less of a machine.

I have the top graphics (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB) & the 1 TB flash internal storage (realize, it is not a SSd drive bogged down by Sata constraints, it is PCIe)- it is rediculous fast. I bought the 27" because it was the only one that comes with the 3.5 GHz I7 chip which Compressor and Final Cut can activate its multiicores and on board Intel graphics. I actualy recently got a new 2013 IMAC and I am finishing up editing a 6 Camera multiclip project.
